Pastor Bill grew up in what he refers to as a ‘corporate-gypsy’ home moving to a different state every couple of years. Finishing high school in Anaheim, California, he then received a BA in History from CSU Fullerton and a Masters of Divinity from Talbot School of Theology at Biola University.
Prior to moving to Valley Center he and his wife, Sharon, established a new church in Newport Beach, California and there they lived the proverbial American dream.
They founded Ridgeview Church in 1999 as a way of reaching people who didn’t ‘do’ church and to compliment what God was already doing through the other fine churches in Valley Center.
By gathering and leading the people of Ridgeview, Bill and Sharon have made a difference for Christ locally by serving the needs of working and young families, middle school, and high school teens; regionally in greater San Diego County through service to victims of devastating wildfires; and internationally by helping whole communities in Malawi, Africa, learn sustainable farming techniques.
Their prompting to leave Orange County back in 1998 has resulted in a church of real people who love Christ, and who have a passion to live their Christian faith for personal, local, regional and global impact.
Pastor Bill and Sharon live in Valley Center with their four children.
